John Robert Powers (JRP) alum Noah Centineo stars as Ken Masters in Street Fighter, the live-action adaptation of Capcom's classic fighting game, which Paramount Pictures opens in theaters Friday, October 16, 2026. JRP Virtual, A Casting Call, Inc. Company, is recognizing the release as part of its ongoing celebration of performers who got their start at JRP.
Set in 1993, Street Fighter follows estranged fighters Ken Masters (Centineo) and Ryu (Andrew Koji), who are pulled back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament, only to discover a deadly conspiracy behind it. Kitao Sakurai directs the Legendary Entertainment production, whose cast also includes Joe "Roman Reigns" Anoa'i as Akuma, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Cody Rhodes as Guile, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson as Balrog, and Jason Momoa as Blanka. The film is rated PG-13, and Paramount and Legendary have scheduled opening-night fan screenings on Thursday, October 15, in IMAX and other premium formats.
Centineo got his start at JRP in West Palm Beach, Florida, at age 8, after tagging along to support his older sister and deciding to give it a try himself. He went on to recurring work on Disney Channel's Austin & Ally, then played Jesus Adams Foster on Freeform's The Fosters. He became a household name as Peter Kavinsky in Netflix's To All the Boys films, played Atom Smasher in Black Adam, and starred in and executive produced the Netflix spy series The Recruit. Today, JRP Virtual, a Casting Call, Inc. company, continues the John Robert Powers legacy that began in 1923. At jrpvirtual.com, it offers aspiring actors, models, singers, and dancers online training and showcase opportunities that introduce them to industry professionals as they start out in the business.
"Noah's story is one we love to share. He got his start at John Robert Powers in West Palm Beach when he was just eight years old, and everything he has achieved since has come from his own talent, focus, and years of hard work. Seeing him take on a role as iconic as Ken Masters makes all of us proud, and it is a wonderful reminder of how much a strong foundation in the early years can mean for a young performer," said Brigitte Blair, Director of Operations, JRP Virtual.
Street Fighter is produced by Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Jason Momoa, Takayuki Nakayama, and Stefan Makhoul, and opens in theaters nationwide October 16, 2026, from Paramount Pictures.
