The Prom
Description: Theater for Charity is thrilled to announce auditions for The Prom, directed by Mike Frale, assistant directed by AnnaMarie Ahonen, music directed by Ali Kordelewski, choreographed by Bianca Pietro, and produced by Lynn Hodak, Michael Norkuss, and the TFC Board of Directors. Auditions will be held Monday, July 27th from 6:30 to 9:30 pm, and Tuesday, July 28th from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. If needed, callbacks will be held on Thursday, July 30th by invitation only. Auditions will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2600 West 75th Street, Woodridge, IL. Synopsis: Four eccentric Broadway stars are in desperate need of a new stage. So when they hear that trouble is brewing around a small-town prom, they know that it's time to put a spotlight on the issue... and themselves. The town's parents want to keep the high school dance on the straight and narrow-but when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town has a date with destiny. On a mission to make a difference, the Broadway stars team up with the courageous student, leading to a transformation that brings everyone together in the name of love and acceptance.

Director: Makari Robinson-McNeese Synopsis: When radical action meets radical consequences when do we draw the line? Por' Knockers follows a group of civil rights activists in the hours following their bombing of what they thought was an empty building. When the bombing results in the deaths of school children playing in the building, the group struggles with the idea that their noble cause has lead to harming the very people they are aiming to protect.
